About
Edventure More began as an inspiring science, fine arts, and recreation summer camp where kids learned about themselves and the world around them. Edventure More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that now works year-round to provide quality enrichment programming to kids during the summer, school year, and at home.
The organization was co-founded by two former SCORE! Educational Center directors, Sharon Mor and Ed Caballero, in January of 2004. Ed is a San Francisco native and graduate of Cornell University with a degree in Psychology. Raised in Cupertino, Sharon is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Sociology. Combined, Sharon and Ed have over 20 years experience working in the field of summer camps, enrichment programming, motivational tutoring, and mentoring. During this time they witnessed first-hand that kids could discover previously untapped passions and interests when they learned in a positive, upbeat and supportive environment.
Sharon and Ed’s vision was to create a summer camp where education was approached as an adventure, where learning was not a passive act, but an active pursuit of knowledge. Only with a premier science, fine arts, and recreation curriculum led by instructors passionate about their respective fields could they inspire a true love and appreciation for learning in kids. In the summer of 2004, the dream became reality and Camp Edventure More began fulfilling its mission to the resounding praise of kids, parents, and teachers alike.
What began as one small enrichment day camp has now grown into two summer programs, Edventure More (K-5th grade) and Edventure Tech (5th-9th grade), as well as a valuable school-year science enrichment program. Edventure More uses its enrichment resources to support schools, teachers, parents and local organizations through its School Year Services. Edventure More also offers scholarships to underserved families through its “Give Camp to Kids” program.
