Edventure More is looking for Camp Directors, Instructors and Counselors with a passion for learning, leadership skills, undeniable charisma, and fun bursting from every seam. We are also looking for middle and high school students who want to explore their passions, receive mentoring from strong role models and gain real world job experience as part of our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program. Edventure More operates two award-winning summer camps throughout the Bay Area:
Camp Edmo: Pre-K–Entering 4th grade – Arts & Science, Animation, Recreation & Life Skills camp
Camp EdTech: Entering 5th–8th grade – Digital Media, Recreation & Life Skills Camp
Camps run from June – August with dates varying by location (See specific location pages for dates)
All staff is required to attend mandatory staff training the week prior to their locations start date. Instructor applicants must be available select weekends and evenings in the month of May and June for curriculum trainings.
As a Camp Director you’re able to focus on both your professional and personal development. This is a job that will prepare you for leadership and life challenges well into the future.
Candidates are expected to work in the Spring part time performing the following tasks:
- Comprehensive camp operations and leadership development trainings (evenings)
- Interviewing and hiring staff team
- Participating in regional marketing events
- Assist in assign program management area
Summer full time (6-7 weeks June-August) responsibilities include:
- Train, manage and develop staff
- Foster a positive team vibe
- Manage all daily operations of camp (sign-in, sign out, staffing issues, smooth classroom rotations, etc.)
- Handle all customer service issues in a friendly and professional manner
- Support and help instructors and counselors to excel
- Plan and facilitate rockin’ morning rallies and camp activates
- Incorporate Kimochi tool into camp programming
- Instill the” Vibe” of kindness, respect, honesty and FUN in all campers
- Bring creativity, heart, and leadership to your team!
Edventure More is looking for energetic, creative, and fun Instructors to lead our exciting curriculum. Our Instructors work full time in Summer (6-10 weeks June-August) and Instructor candidates must:
- Approach education with passion and excitement
- Lead daily curriculum
- Manage Counselors and CIT’s while in the classroom
- Work closely with the Camp Director, Counselors and other Instructors to create fun camp games, arts and crafts songs, skits and special activities/events
- Handle daily camper check-in and check-out
- Interact with parents in a professional and energetic manner
- Give positive reinforcement to campers
- Help cultivate confidence and self esteem, as well as natural love for learning
- Set-up, organize and manage classrooms
- Refine curriculum and add personal contributions
- Be both Instructor and ‘buddy’ to campers – Instructors eat lunch with campers, perform skits and build positive “role model” relationships with kids
- Instill the Edmo Vibe of kindness, respect, honesty and FUN in all campers
Our Counselors bring creativity and fun to camp every summer. Positions are full time- (6-7 weeks June-August) and all candidates should:
- Approach education with passion and excitement
- Responsible for helping lead groups of 10-16 kids throughout the day’s science, arts and recreation activities
- Lead recreation and team time
- Support Instructors during the hands-on art and science classroom activities
- Counselors will also work closely with the Camp Directors and Instructors to create fun camp games, songs, skits, activities, arts and crafts, and more
- Build a positive group dynamic among your camper team
- Interact with parents in a professional and energetic manner
- Help cultivate confidence and self esteem, as well as natural love for learning
- Instill the Edmo Vibe of kindness, respect, honesty and FUN in all campers

All Camp Edmo and Camp EdTech staff applicants are put through a multiple step interview process with:
- Initial resume review
- Phone interview
- Group screening
- Sample Teaching presentation (Instructors Only)
- One-on-one interview with Camp Director
Once through the interview process, Camp Directors and Instructors will be notified of their acceptance by the Edventure More HR Manager. Counselors will receive a call or email from the Camp Director at the location they are interested in working.

Edventure More fosters the leadership development of all ages. From kindergarten campers learning to work together, all the way up to our Camp Directors, who can hone their administrative and staff management skills, our fabulous summer time volunteers are no exception. Our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program offers a chance for middle and high school students to explore their passions, receive mentoring from strong role models, gain real world job experience, and learn valuable leadership and job skills.
Our Counselor-in-Training program fosters and develops budding leaders by:
- Putting them in an evironment with strong leader role models
- Providing leadership training
- Offering hands-on facilitation and project management experience
- Assisting them in finding a path and passion via exposure to a variety of tasks and roles
- Allowing for basic job skill training; customer service, child care, punctuality, team collaboration, and constructive feedback
All Counselors-in Training must:
- Be at least an entering 8th Grader and a mature middle school or high school student
- Have experience interacting with younger children
- Show an nterest in leadership
- Demonstrate the ability to take initiative and see what needs to be done
- Be creative, fun and bright
All Counselors-in-Training are expected to:
- Be a kind role model and buddy to campers
- Ensure the safety of campers at all times and follow all camp policies, guidelines and procedures
- Instill camp values of respect, team work, honesty, kindness, and generosity
- Be helpful, alert and attentive when aiding in activities or classroom time
- Help Instructors with classroom prep before, after, and during class as needed
- Act as a second set of hands and eyes for Counselors and Instructors
- Assist campers in their classroom creations
- Work with Lead Counselors, Instructors and the Camp Director in leading morning and afternoon songs, games, and skits
- Develop creative activities for your group’s daily Team Time
Once a CIT has completed 6 weeks of volunteer time (This can be over many summers), they are assured a letter of recommendation from Edventure More.
