Kira Trinity – Camp Director
Kira Trinity is joining Camp Edmo and Camp EdTech for her first year as a Camp Director! Kira is a filmmaker with a BA in Cinema Production from San Francisco State University. Kira has been involved with a variety of arts and sciences over the years. Kira was trained as a classical pianist in Berkeley as a young girl, was a graduate of Rheem Elementary, owned her own web and game development company, graduated as a Natural Chef from Bauman College in 2010, and made the decision to go into filmmaking in 2011. She fell in love with camp while working at Creative Space Camp in Los Angeles and Camp Arazim in Oakdale. Kira has also taught private piano lessons and computer skills classes to elementary aged students. Kira is currently producing her fourth short film and her films are now showing and winning at film festivals. Kira loves movies, technology and art and can’t wait to share her passion for creativity and leadership with the Edventure More family.
When kids are taught the magic of science and gain the skills to express themselves creatively, they are better ready to integrate with the world and make a positive impact. I am very excited to have the opportunity to inspire campers through science, art, technology, and fun. I cant wait to meet all of the Moraga and Lafeyette families!”
Mira Sendan – Arts & Science Instructor
Mira Sendan will be the Arts and Sciences Instructor for Camp Edmo in Moraga and Lafayette. Life time local, Mira went to Lafayette Elementary, Stanley Intermediate and Acalanes High. The close distance of Sonoma State University allowed Mira to return to Lamorinda on the weekends to hike from home to the Lafayette Reservoir. As a volunteer, then Docent, then Program Teacher at the non-profit Lindsay Wildlife Museum in Walnut Creek, Mira worked with live California native mammals, reptiles and birds. She loves sharing her enjoyment and knowledge of the outdoors with children. Mira has taught in a public school and is currently working at a private school. Good at many handicrafts, Mira believes that when art and creativity are brought to a lesson, kids will enjoy themselves more and thus remember more. Throughout her career, Mira has marveled at the different and special things that pre-schoolers through 8th graders bring to life. Mira loves reating a mixture of learning and fun with a dash of silliness.
Sharon Maher- Counselor
Sharon is currently a student at Campolindo High school, and another graduate of Rheem Elementary. She has been with Edmo for 6 summers total, 2 as a camper and 4 as a Counselor-in-Training. Outside of Edmo, Sharon plays many musical instruments, participates in Girl Scouts, and plays softball. She is extremely excited to be returning to Edmo as a counselor and plans to make this summer totally awesome!!!

I went to the family afternoon last Friday. It was a great experience. The songs, games, and animation that was shown to the parents were excellent. If this is a snapshot of the interaction between camp counselor and the children at the camp, Camp Edmo is stellar and excellent…. if I can in the future, my older daughter and her sister, when she is of age, will be attending for as long as they can. All of the camp counselors, instructors, and the director are fabulous! Thank you!”
My son came back home on Monday very excited about playing a pirate game with another boy. He really loved it and I was surprised to hear every detail. He was also very excited about the theme this week. I’ve been learning all of the animal facts he’s picked up. He especially enjoyed making a beaver and came home and made a “forest” on the living room floor to play with some of his toy animals. Edmo is really stimulating his creativity and helping his social skills to develop, which is outstanding for a camp experience.”
My son told me the other day Camp Edmo is the opposite of school…The classroom is super fun and recess is boring. At school, class is boring and recess is fun’ :)”
My daughter was nervous on the first day, but when I picked her up, she was so excited and proud of her new friendships and work on the volcanic island. She woke up early the next day, put on her shirt and was ready to go out the door ( at 6:30 am!)”
